Cambridge, MA, March 15, 2017 — Weather Build, Inc., Decision Support Solutions for the Construction Industry & Built Environment™, is excited to announce a new release of WeatherBuild Notifications, including customizable station notifications from weather stations, at or nearby your project location.

Station notifications help you increase productivity, gaining actionable insights in real-time at the point of construction, and optimizing uptime of your crews and equipment. Also, station notifications help you enhance safety, ensuring the health, safety and environment of your project, and safeguarding your crews, materials, equipment and resources.

In WeatherBuild Web, create customizable station notifications for your project in three simple steps. First, select the station data field, such as temperature, wind speed, wind gust, last hour precipitation, or today precipitation, for example. Second, select the condition, less than, greater than, equal or not equal. And third, enter your criteria value.

As a first example, for concrete activities, create a station notification when the temperature is less than 40°F at your jobsite. When the temperature drops below 40°F at your jobsite, WeatherBuild automatically sends you and your project team members a notification, to help you make better-informed decisions about cold weather concreting practices.

For a second example, in boom lift operations, create a station notification when the wind speed and wind gust is greater than 25mph, as a first warning, and a station notification when the wind speed and wind gust is greater than 28mph, as a second warning to either not raise the boom or to lower the boom and do not continue to operate the machine.

In a third example, during steel erection work, create a station notification when the last hour precipitation is greater than 1/100 (0.01) of an inch of rain, as a first warning. As a preventive safety measure, steel workers can be at greater risk of slipping and falling when working on structural steel surfaces wet from very light rain or light rain and sometimes condensation.

Adam Omansky, Co-founder & CEO of Weather Build, Inc. highlights “WeatherBuild’s machine learning, predictive analytics and IIoT (Industrial Internet-of-Things) enabling solutions are disrupting the obsolete programs and processes for weather planning, Weather Controls™ and weather risk management in the construction industry and built environment.”
