New release of enhanced SMS reports and alerts, as a part of the WeatherBuild solution — hyper-local weather risk and lightning reports with automated delivery to your project teams

CAMBRIDGE, MA — WeatherBuild®, Decision Support Solutions for the Construction Industry and Built Environment®, is proud to announce the new release of enhanced SMS (short message service) reports and alerts, as a part of the WeatherBuild solution. Enhanced SMS includes an easy-to-read summary of reports and alerts, with links back to detailed reports and alerts in WeatherBuild Web, compatible with modern mobile web browsers such as Safari and Chrome.

With the ever-increasing popularity of bring-your-own-device (BYOD) policies across the construction industry and built environment, WeatherBuild’s SMS notifications and text messages enable project teams to get reports and alerts in the field and on the site via a wide range of mobile devices, from Apple iPhones to Android devices, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, CAT rugged phones, including the CAT S61, CAT S41 and CAT S31, and many other mobile devices.

Given the imminent demand for dangerous thunderstorm alerts and lightning detection alerts in real-time for life-safety, SMS notifications and text messages are an efficient means to deliver and distribute critical life-safety information to teams in the field. WeatherBuild’s SMS notifications and text messages facilitate the automated delivery of hyper-local weather risk reports, complementing WeatherBuild’s app reports, email reports, push notifications, web and PDF reports.

With the ever-changing telecom logic and carrier specific rules, WeatherBuild leverages advanced, automated delivery technologies to ensure that the SMS reports and alerts reach your project team members, trade contractors and work crews. Unlike many of the outdated and outmoded weather programs, WeatherBuild eliminates the error-prone requirement to enter the correct cellular data carrier for each team member — only a simple mobile phone number is required.

WeatherBuild security, data protection and SMS opt-out: To meet the demands and requirements of your enterprise IT group and that of your construction project and capital program stakeholders, WeatherBuild enterprise-grade security and compliance includes: data protection (GDPR), ISO/IEC 27000 Information security management systems standard, SOC-2 certified for 2FA, and built-in SMS opt-out, as some of the many examples of security, data protection and SMS opt-out.
