CAMBRIDGE, MA — WeatherBuild®Decision Support Solutions for the Construction Industry and Built Environment®, is proud to announce support for and integration with over 1,600 automated weather stations located at airports. Weather stations at airports provide about 95% of current weather condition data in the US.

Further, weather stations at airports are identified by a 4-letter airport ID and a 5-digit World Meteorological Organization (WMO) ID. For example, for the automated weather station located at Boston Logan International Airport, the 4-letter airport ID is KBOS and the 5-digit World Meteorological Organization (WMO) ID is 72509.

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is an inter-governmental organization with a membership of 191 Member States and Territories. WMO is a specialized agency of the United Nations for meteorology (weather and climate), operational hydrology and related geophysical science. Its supreme body is the World Meteorological Congress.

Interoperability with weather stations at airports first, enhances WeatherBuild’s automated risk assessments for top contractors, owners and operators; and second, complements WeatherBuild’s hyper-local and project-specific weather event, schedule impact and safety risk reports and real-time lightning strike detection alerts.
