CAMBRIDGE, MA — WeatherBuild®, Decision Support Solutions for the Construction Industry and Built Environment®, is proud to announce the release of severe weather alerts for Europe and the United Kingdom. The new product release includes real-time, severe weather alerts with classified weather events, schedule impacts, safety hazards, and other project risks — site-specific to each construction project and maintenance program, unlike nondescript alerts common from public weather sources and generic data providers.
Further, WeatherBuild triages a select set of severe weather alerts in one of three severity categories for contractors and owners: 1. advisory, 2. watch and 3. warning. First, “advisory” is when project decision-makers must be aware of potential severe weather. Second, “watch” is when project decision-makers must be prepared for potential severe weather. And third, “warning” is when project decision-makers must take immediate action to protect project teams and other stakeholders, such as outdoor workers and site crews, from severe weather on the job site.
