CAMBRIDGE, MA — WeatherBuild®Decision Support Solutions for the Construction Industry and Built Environment®, is proud to participate in the US Offshore Wind Virtual Conference #USOW20. The two-day event hosted by Reuters Events from June 18th to June 19th, 2020 focuses on offshore wind development, construction, operations, maintenance and repowering — across the total asset lifecycle of offshore wind energy.

The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) highlights how “…investment in the vast US offshore wind energy could double current electricity use, revitalize ports and coastal communities and help power the nation’s economic recovery.” New Energy Update affirms that the offshore wind energy sector offers the potential of creating 83,000 jobs by 2030 and helping to address the global climate emergency.

Today, land-based wind energy supports over 120,000 American jobs. Increasing offshore wind energy development holds similar promise for US job growth, according to the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA). For example, new investments in the United States include the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal in Massachusetts and a $35 million MHI Vestas turbine gearbox testing facility at Clemson University.

The US Offshore Wind Virtual Conference #USOW20 welcomes hundreds of C-level executives and over 5,000 virtual delegates. Speakers and attendees of the US Offshore Wind Virtual Conference include developers, investors, engineers, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, and solution providers, such as WeatherBuild. High-level speakers feature offshore wind energy authorities, executives, directors, and many others.
