Unlike generic services and consumer apps, WeatherBuild is purpose-built from the ground up by experienced construction technologists specifically for the construction industry and built environment. WeatherBuild’s weather maps complement the daily reports with risk assessments of schedule activities, equipment operations, work results, and maintenance tasks.
New features in the WeatherBuild’s weather maps include detailed layers such as railroads, streams, and dams, for example. Leveraging publicly-accredited and quality-controlled datasets, the new railroads layer features a comprehensive database of the railway systems across the U.S. The database of the railway systems includes: the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Railroad Administration FRA ID and FRA Region, State, subdivision, number of tracks, network description, number of miles, and other detailed data and metadata about railroads and related transportation infrastructure.
