Raimund brings a wealth of knowledge from over 17 years of experience in renewable energy project development worldwide.

During the last 16 years, Raimund has been responsible for development and acquisition of over US$3 billion of renewable energy projects. His experience includes project development, M&A, financing and power marketing for renewable and conventional energy assets. He has held senior management roles at Equilibrium Capital, Element Power, PPM Energy, and Iberdrola Renewables.

Raimund was most recently a Principal at Equilibrium Capital focused on renewable resources strategies. He currently serves as an Advisor to Equilibrium’s Wastewater Opportunity Fund and sits on the Fund’s Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Equilibrium, Raimund was president and COO and one of the founding members of Element Power, a renewable energy company and independent power producer (IPP) backed by Private Equity. He led the partial exit of Element Power’s solar and wind businesses in the Americas that included the sale of two solar photovoltaic portfolios totaling more than 1.5GW.

For PPM Energy and Iberdrola Renewables, Raimund led regional project development and acquisitions of renewable energy projects in the US and Canada.

His experience also includes work at Enron International as a financial analyst for projects in Asia and Africa and developer of gas-fired generation projects in the US. Further, Raimund worked in Hong Kong for GHK International, a global economic consulting firm. His responsibilities included research and analysis of the impact of environmental legislation in Hong Kong on trade and industry.

Raimund earned a Masters in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and an undergraduate degree in Asian Studies and Economics from Colgate University.
