In cooperation with an energy pioneer with the largest renewable asset base of any company in the world, a multi-national infrastructure engineering and construction company, and heavy industrial contractors in the industrial process, wind energy and power sectors

Cambridge, MA, May 15, 2017 — Weather Build, Inc., Decision Support Solutions for the Construction Industry & Built Environment™, is excited to announce the release of the WeatherBuild data dictionary for wind energy equipment, standard construction activities, operations and maintenance (O&M) activities, and repowering activities for wind turbines, balance of plant (BOP), transmission, distribution, and other wind power work results.

The WeatherBuild data dictionary for wind energy equipment serves contractors, owners and operators performing work on wind power assets and fleets, at risk of being impacted by numerous weather events, including but not limited to precipitation events, temperature events, thunderstorm events, lightning events, wind events at ground level, and wind events at varying heights above ground level, also referred to as wind shear or wind gradient.

WeatherBuild developed its data dictionary for wind energy equipment in cooperation with many of the leading contractors, owners and operators in the wind power industry, including an energy pioneer with the largest renewable asset base of any company in the world, a multi-national infrastructure engineering and construction company, and a heavy industrial contractors, in the industrial process, wind energy and power sectors.

Organized by MasterFormat, some of the many standard construction activities, operations and maintenance (O&M) activities, and repowering activities in the data dictionary for wind energy equipment: Staging Areas, Offloading Base, Offloading Mid, Offloading Top, Offloading Nacelle, Offloading Hub, Offloading Blades, Tower Bolts Delivery, Bottom Finishing, Grouting, Base Tensioning, Nacelle Preparation, Controllers, Switchgear, etc.

As the generally accepted, information standard used throughout the construction industry and built environment in North America, the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) MasterFormat lists titles and section numbers for organizing data about work results and construction practices, including Division 26 or 26 00 00 Electrical and 26 30 00 Facility Electrical Power Generating and Storing Equipment.

Further, the WeatherBuild data dictionary of standard construction activities, operations and maintenance (O&M) activities, and repowering activities for wind energy equipment complements schedule integration with project-specific schedule activities, enabling weather risk probability for each activity. For schedule integration, the WeatherBuild Solution is compatible with Oracle Primavera P6, MS Project and Excel, and many other formats.

Adam Omansky, Co-founder & CEO of Weather Build, Inc. highlights “WeatherBuild’s machine learning, predictive analytics and IIoT (Industrial Internet-of-Things) enabling solutions are disrupting the obsolete programs and processes for weather planning, Weather Controls™ and weather risk management in the construction industry and built environment, including wind power assets and fleets in the alternative and renewable energy market sectors.”
