Cambridge, MA, July 3, 2017 — Weather Build, Inc., Decision Support Solutions for the Construction Industry & Built Environment™, is excited to announce the release of the WeatherBuild data dictionary of thermal and moisture protection activities, standard schedule activities and work results. - Thermal Protection
- Steep Slope Roofing
- Roofing and Siding Panels
- Membrane Roofing
- Flashing and Sheet Metal
- Roof and Wall Specialties and Accessories
- Fire and Smoke Protection
- Joint Protection
The WeatherBuild data dictionary of thermal and moisture protection activities serves general contractors (GC), construction managers (CM), and specialty contractors or trade contractors performing dampproofing, waterproofing, roofing, siding, flashing, and sheet metal work, at risk of being impacted by a broad spectrum of weather events such as rain, snow, sleet, hail, mixed, low temperature, wind, wind gust, and frost, for example.
As the generally accepted, information standard used throughout the construction industry and built environment in North America, the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) MasterFormat lists titles and section numbers for organizing data about work results and construction practices, including Division 07 Thermal and Moisture Protection or 07 00 00 Thermal and Moisture Protection.
Further, the WeatherBuild data dictionary of standard construction activities for thermal and moisture protection work results complements schedule integration with project-specific schedule activities, enabling weather risk probability for each activity. For schedule integration, the WeatherBuild Enterprise decision support solution is compatible with Oracle Primavera P6, MS Project and Excel, and many other formats.
Adam Omansky, Co-founder & CEO of Weather Build, Inc. highlights “In the construction industry and built environment, waterproofing and roofing can pose challenges and present risks to stakeholders and insurers alike. Daily weather reports with risk assessments of thermal and moisture protection activities, whether roofing new construction or re-roofing existing facilities, are critical to help project teams make better-informed decisions.”
