FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Leveraging powerful technology and rich data for deep schedule integration with Oracle Primavera P6
November 12, 2018
CAMBRIDGE, MA — WeatherBuild®, Decision Support Solutions for the Construction Industry and Built Environment®, is proud to announce that WeatherBuild Web version 2.0 now features Oracle Primavera P6 web services integration — leveraging powerful technology and rich data for deep schedule integration with Oracle Primavera P6. With WeatherBuild inside Oracle Primavera P6, WeatherBuild gets project schedule activities and respective work breakdown structures (WBS), and puts weather events from daily reports in P6 reflection schedules. Interoperability between WeatherBuild and Oracle Primavera P6 supports Weather Risk-Adjusted Scheduling™, risk management and dispute resolution programs and processes with WeatherBuild’s advanced analytics.
Simple configuration. A WeatherBuild project administrator user can configure Oracle Primavera P6 web services integration in the Edit Project view, Schedule Integration tab, with a P6 web services URL, P6 username, P6 password, and P6 project ID. The P6 Web Services URL is likely similar to https://ws.<yourcompany>.com/p6ws/services/, as an example. For more information about how to configure Oracle Primavera P6 web services integration in WeatherBuild Web, please contact WeatherBuild today at support(at)weather.build.
WeatherBuild inside Oracle Primavera P6 supports Weather Risk-Adjusted Scheduling™
P6 Reflection. WeatherBuild’s approach to interoperability with Oracle Primavera P6 uses P6 Reflection — a “sandbox” feature in Oracle Primavera P6 that enables schedule engineers and project teams to examine the impact of weather events and weather delays, and then specify whether or not to keep and post the proposed data. With P6 Reflection, a WeatherBuild project administrator user can also opt to configure automated export or “put” WeatherBuild weather events from daily reports in P6 schedules. Further, weather events are grouped in a dedicated “WB – WeatherBuild Events” work breakdown structure (WBS). Project-specific and hyper-local weather events inside Oracle Primavera P6 support Weather Risk-Adjusted Scheduling™ programs and processes:
- Time impact analysis (TIA) for adverse weather
- Requests for time extensions for excusable delays for weather
- Requests for contract modifications for excusable delays for weather
Headquartered in Cambridge, MA, WeatherBuild® offers a suite of decision support solutions that empower contractors, owners and operators to improve situational awareness and make better-informed decisions about weather events, schedule impacts, safety risks and probable outcomes.
