WeatherBuild’s IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) approach to integrating with weather data loggers

CAMBRIDGE, MA — WeatherBuild®Decision Support Solutions for the Construction Industry and Built Environment®, is proud to announce integration with and support for Netatmo smart weather stations, rain gauges, anemometers and related Netatmo data loggers and other accessories, and many other weather stations. The Netatmo weather station wireless outdoor module and its sensor suite logs an array of environmental conditions: temperature, humidity, air quality, and barometric pressure, in a completely weatherproof, solid one-piece aluminum body.

Further, together with the Netatmo smart weather station, the Netatmo smart rain gauge measures rainfall in real time and offers a cumulative rainfall total. Also with the Netatmo smart weather station, the Netatmo smart anemometer measures wind speed, wind gust, and wind direction, using leading ultrasound technology. “Equipped with four ultrasonic transducers that emit continuous signals, the Netatmo smart anemometer uses variations in the signals to reliably and accurately measure wind speed and direction.”

Integration with weather data sensor suites, such as Netatmo smart weather stations and many other weather stations, enable leading contractors and owners to automatically and electronically record hyper-local and site-specific actual outcomes or “ground truth” at exact project locations for risk management, contract management, and dispute resolution. Actual outcomes or “ground truth” complement WeatherBuild’s reports and alerts with forecast events, safety risks, schedule impacts, and probable outcomes.

Unlock actionable insights around weather events, and flag safety risks and schedule impacts

WeatherBuild CEO Adam Omansky highlights how “raw weather data and sensor data is in abundance nowadays, a commodity — analytics on top of the data create value, reduce risk and improve delivery.” WeatherBuild’s machine learning (ML) and predictive analytics unlock actionable insights around weather events, and flag safety risks and schedule impacts. The results: first, driving more successful project outcomes, for safe, on-time and on-budget project delivery; and second, mitigating disputes and claims associated with weather delays and time extensions.

Netatmo hardware complements the WeatherBuild Solutions.
