FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 15, 2019
CAMBRIDGE, MA — WeatherBuild®, Decision Support Solutions for the Construction Industry and Built Environment®, is proud to announce the release of WeatherBuild Webhooks, to complement the WeatherBuild Application Programming Interface (API). Webhooks enhance WeatherBuild’s strategic partners’ solutions and customers’ internal applications, by enabling seamless information exchange between platforms.
Weather is one of the top three reasons for missed milestones in the construction industry and built environment, with negative impacts costing billions of dollars. WeatherBuild offers a suite of decision support solutions that empower contractors, owners and operators to improve situational awareness and make better-informed decisions about weather events, schedule impacts, safety risks and probable outcomes.
WeatherBuild Webhooks are user-defined HTTP callbacks, triggered by specific events. Webhooks include requests from WeatherBuild that ask your service to distribute analytics and insights, in the form of reports and alerts, to your recipients. Custom request headers (e.g. X-API-Key) can also be configured. (The term “webhook” was coined by Jeff Lindsay in 2007 from the computer programming term “hook.”)
Headquartered in Cambridge, MA, WeatherBuild® offers a suite of decision support solutions that empower contractors, owners and operators to improve situational awareness and make better-informed decisions about weather events, schedule impacts, safety risks and probable outcomes.
