Some of the many improvements to features and functionality include the following:
- The WeatherCompany raw weather data integration;
- Time related data improvements;
- Report and alert improvements;
- Schedule WBS and ABS support;
- XML file import support.
The WeatherCompany, an IBM Business. Integration of raw weather data from The WeatherCompany together with raw weather data from numerous other public and private sources, such as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), Environment Canada (EC), and many others.
Time related data. Improvements to time related data in scheduled reports and real-time alerts, including storing and displaying dates and times across time zones, and labeling time zones for ease-of-use in capital programs with geographically-distributed projects and sites. Also, improvements for Daylight Saving Time (DST) handling.
Reports and alerts. Improvements to the reliability of scheduled reports, by work day and work shift. Also, improvements to the reliability of real-time alerts, including severe weather alerts, dangerous thunderstorm alerts, lightning strike alerts, and all-clear notifications, for severe weather plans (SWPs) and emergency actions plans (EAPs).
Schedule WBS and ABS. Support for work breakdown structures (WBS) and activity breakdown structures (ABS) in project schedules — deliverable-oriented hierarchical decomposition of schedule activities and work results, via Oracle Primavera® P6™ Web Services integration and via Oracle Primavera® P6™ XER file import.
XML file import. Support for project schedules via Extensible Markup Language (XML) file import. For example, Microsoft Project and many other project management programs, project scheduling solutions, and maintenance management systems support export of files to XML format.
