CAMBRIDGE, MA — WeatherBuild®, Decision Support Solutions for the Construction Industry and Built Environment®, is proud to announce a series of enhancements to its integration with the DialMyCalls mass notification system, including support for long format severe weather alerts broadcast via bulk SMS. WeatherBuild now supports text messages over 160 characters, a common limitation for single SMS messages, through automated concatenation. Messages over 160 characters are split into multiple segments, sent individually, and then rebuilt by the recipient’s device. Support for long alerts is important for severe alerts and custom messages, which can address site-specific weather emergency action plans (EAPs) and lightning safety protocols. Headquartered in Cambridge, MA between Harvard and MIT, WeatherBuild® offers a suite of decision support solutions that empower contractors, owners, and operators to improve situational awareness and make better-informed decisions about weather events, schedule impacts, safety risks, and probable outcomes.
