CAMBRIDGE, MA — WeatherBuild®, Decision Support Solutions for the Construction Industry and Built Environment™, now supports severe weather alerts for Canada care of the Environment and Climate Change Canada, Public Alerting Program.
Addressing public weather alerts for Canada, the Environment and Climate Change Canada, Public Alerting Program provides severe weather information, such as severe thunderstorms which may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rain.
Adam Omansky, Co-founder & CEO of WeatherBuild highlights “Supporting severe weather alerts for Canada is important in order to better serve our North American customers with projects across Canada.”
The type of alerts vary depending on the severity and the timing of the weather event, including special weather statements, advisories, watches, and warnings — an urgent message that severe weather is either occurring or will occur.
Further, WeatherBuild leverages machine learning (ML) and predictive analytics to transform the severe weather alerts into events or weather events, as a part of the hyper-local weather risk reports with automated delivery to project teams.
Environment and Climate Change Canada is in the business of “…protecting the environment, conserving the country’s natural heritage, and providing weather and meteorological information to keep Canadians informed and safe.”
Further, Environment and Climate Change Canada’s mandates are to:
- Preserve and enhance the quality of the natural environment, including water, air, soil, flora and fauna;
