Record hyper-local, site-specific actual outcomes or “ground truth”
CAMBRIDGE, MA — WeatherBuild®, Decision Support Solutions for the Construction Industry and Built Environment®, is proud to announce a series of powerful enhancements to its weather station integration features and functions. Integration with a wide range of weather stations, sensor suites, and data loggers enable contractors and owners to automatically and electronically record hyper-local, site-specific actual outcomes or “ground truth” at exact project locations for risk management, contract management, and dispute resolution.
Select the type and sub type for each weather station
Some of the many enhancements to weather station integration include the option for WeatherBuild project administrator users to pair one or many weather stations, sensor suites, and data loggers with a project or site. Then, project administrator users can select both the weather station type and weather station sub type for each weather station: personal or private weather station (PWS); airport weather station IATA (user-friendly) code; airport weather station ICAO code, geocode (latitude, longitude), and postal code, for example.
Five WeatherBuild Station Sub Types:
- Personal or private weather station (PWS);
- Airport weather station IATA code;
- Airport weather station ICAO code;
- Geocode (latitude, longitude), and;
- By postal code.
Support for IATA and ICAO airport codes
IATA (www.iata.org) is the International Air Transport Association. Published in the IATA Airline Coding Directory (ACD), the IATA airport code, also referred to as the IATA location identifier or the IATA station code, is a three-letter code designating numerous airports; e.g. “BOS” is “Boston Logan International Airport.” Further, ICAO (www.icao.int) is the International Civil Aviation Organization. The ICAO code is a four-letter code designating numerous aerodromes. The prefix K refers to the United States; e.g. “KBOS” is “Boston Logan International Airport.”
Headquartered in Cambridge, MA, WeatherBuild® offers a suite of decision support solutions that empower contractors, owners and operators to improve situational awareness and make better-informed decisions about weather events, schedule impacts, safety risks and probable outcomes.
