New improvements to maps and lightning for the leading contractors, owners and operators
CAMBRIDGE, MA — WeatherBuild®, Decision Support Solutions for the Construction Industry and Built Environment®, is proud to announce the release of numerous enhancements to its site-specific weather maps and lightning strike alerts. Based on customer feedback, the new improvements to maps and lightning enrich the functionality and usability of WeatherBuild Web — helping the leading contractors, owners and operators to improve situational awareness (SA) and make better-informed decisions about weather events, schedule impacts, safety risks, probable outcomes, and “ground truth.” On the Map tab in WeatherBuild Web, some of the many enhancements include the following:
- Lightning strike pop-up messages color coded by proximity to each project
- Lightning strike pop-up messages adjust to the map area currently being viewed
- Lightning strike pop-up messages always show within the outermost or advisory range
- Weather stations, sensor suites and data loggers visible as station avatars
- Tooltips for project avatars and station avatars by hovering the cursor over each avatar
- Numerous improvements to the geospatial accuracy of graphic displays of lightning strikes
- Performance enhancements when panning and zooming the map with many lightning strikes
- Other fixes, e.g. display corrections for project avatars when project sites are close together
