On balance, the American Concrete Institute Cold Weather Committee focuses on creating guidelines to help contractors put concrete in place in cold-weather months and during low-temperature events. The objectives of cold weather concreting are two-fold: 1. Protect the work results from damage due to freezing; and, 2. Meet or exceed the durability requirements for the intended service conditions.
